American Board For Certification in Orthotics & Prosthetics (ABC) - ABC is the credentialing board in the orthotics and prosthetics
industry, which encourages and advances the competency of practitioners and promotes the quality and of O & P care.
American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists (AAOP) - Promotes high standards of patient care through advocacy, education, literature
and research. The primary objective of this agency is to support professional and ethical conduct among all ABC practitioners.
Orthotic and Prosthetic Assistance Fund, Inc. (OPAF) - Non-profit organization designed to enable individuals with physical
disabilities to enjoy the rewards of personal achievement, physical fitness, and social interaction through financial support of the Paralympics.
The Barr/United Amputee Assistance Fund (BUAAF) - This is a fund that purchases prosthetic
limbs for amputees who cannot otherwise afford them.
